Rainwater Harvesting System

A rainwater harvesting system collects rainwater from the roof of a home and stores it in large aboveground or underground containers. The water is then re-used for either irrigation or an indoor non-potable use of water such as flushing toilets. In addition to the obvious savings on the water bill, rainwater is good for irrigation because it has higher nitrogen and a lower salt content than water that is municipally supplied.
